There will be no opportunity to introduce new legislation this Senedd term. There are ongoing discussions with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government over their proposals for requiring gigabit broadband in all new homes in England. Bringing forward changes in Wales through the Building Regulations will have to be considered against existing commitments and priorities. We will however look into the possibility of introducing regulations during this Senedd term
