Delay Repay 15 has been operational since 10 December 2018, providing £649,766 in compensation.

Delay Repay 15 was introduced in January 2019 so customers are compensated when services are late for delays of above 15 minutes. Previously, a train could be late for an entire journey but appear on time or even early at the final stop, and this would be an acceptable outcome according to the contract then in force. Under Delay Repay 15, passenger time lost is measured, measuring punctuality at more stops and according to how many passengers are actually on those trains. This is a fairer, more passenger-focused approach.
