The magnitude and significance of the latest evidence from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change highlights the importance of taking action. The declaration of a climate emergency was intended to trigger a wave of action at home and internationally, from our own communities, businesses and organisations to Parliaments and Governments around the world. The declaration in itself does not dictate the precise actions to be taken by Welsh Government and others or consequently the costs. We do however know the costs of inaction are high.
