Cardiff and Vale University Health Board’s bike hire on prescription was launched on 8 May 2019 and is available at two GP surgeries, the Lansdowne Surgery and Fairwater Health Centre. The cost of the prescription is free as Nextbike are providing free 6 month memberships for the pilot scheme. Those prescribed free bike hire are also signposted to free adult cycle training provided by Cardiff Council.
