A wnaiff Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet egluro sut y mae Croeso Cymru yn hyrwyddo Llanrwst fel cyrchfan twristiaeth, a nodi sut y bydd Llywodraeth Cymru yn gweithio gyda busnesau lleol i lunio strategaeth ar gyfer marchnata'r dref a'r ardal gyfagos?

The Welsh Government tourism strategy, “Partnership for Growth” sets out our priorities for developing and marketing all of Wales. This includes capital and revenue funding, and marketing activities at home and overseas.  In addition to this we recently launched ‘The Wales Way’ a new internationally focused tourism route initiative that aims to provide inspirational itineraries for visitors to Wales and includes a family of three routes including the Cambrian Way (A470), the Coastal Way (A487) and the North Wales Way (A55). A key objective of The Cambrian Way is to encourage visitors to explore beyond Cardiff, travel  up the A470 and stay and experience a range of tourism attractions along the route including Llanrwst which is described as the historic ‘capital’ of the Conwy Valley and highlights Gwydir castle as a place to visit along the way  - http://www.thewalesway.com/the-cambrian-way/explore-the-cambrian-way

In relation to local businesses working together,  I understand that Llanrwst Chamber of Trade attend Destination Management Partnership (DMP) meetings in Conwy and  work well together to help develop and promote Conwy as a great place to visit , work and live.  I would suggest that any local businesses not already involved in the DMP contact tourism officers in Conwy Council, i.e. George Brookes George.Brookes@conwy.gov.uk and Jon Merrick Jon.Merrick@conwy.gov.uk
