The sum of £800,000 has been invested to date establishing the ACE support hub in Wales. The hub provides expert advice, support and training to help services to understand and tackle ACEs. Our Flying Start and Families First programmes support families, who may experience ACEs, by offering appropriate and timely interventions.

Through diversification of the house building industry and promotion of SMEs and self-build sectors, use can be made of local labour and supplies of materials encouraging the local retention of profits.

Improving access to vocational training in Wales is a continuous effort. In 2018-19, that effort was underpinned by an additional £10 million from the Welsh Government to address job-specific skills gaps at a regional level.

Tourism is a major driver of the economy all across Wales, including Islwyn. That is why it is identified as a foundation sector and why we have launched a consultation on the priorities for the future of tourism across Wales. I urge all parts of the tourism sector to respond to the consultation.
